Question About Lungs

I seem to be having some technical issues with my last post.  There was a comment left on the "Lungs" post which the computer is not letting me reply to, so I'll address it here.  The question was if NAET has helped the asthma? Here's what I can tell you, in 2008 when my son was 2 years-old we had 6 straight months of rushing to urgent care/ER for uncontrolled asthma attacks.  I then sought the help of an naturalpathic doctor (ND) as we weren't getting anywhere with traditional MDs. With the introduction of various supplements the asthma subsided but would still rear it's head with colds and viruses.  At the age of 3 1/2 we started NAET, vitamin D, fish oil, and probitics and there was a huge difference in my son.  He no longer would get asthma at the sign of a cold, and for the first time his body was able to handle a cold with productive coughs and not asthma.  Last year he hit his inhaler a total of 4 times.  His allergist was so impressed that he wanted us to take him off the Flovent since the dosage was already very low.  We trialed that in August, but within a few days he had some wheezing.  With school starting we decided to try again later.  We do go days without the inhaler, but I'm still hesistant to go off it all together.

My husband is a lifetime asthmatic and has been working on his lungs, too, with NAET.  I've noticed a big difference in him as of late, but need more time before I'm ready to claim any sort of victory.

  1. Thank you so much for your post. We started NAET for my son and he has completed basic 15. He is 21 months old. Wheezing started just a month ago for him after the basic are complete. The reason we started treatments is not wheezing. He has lots of severe food allergies. He has trouble breathing almost every night from last few days.

  2. That's tough to put a finger on. It could be that since his body already has a lot of inflammation that it's just showing up in another way. Asthma, allergies, and eczema tend to go hand in hand. The other thing it could be is that it's his body's way of trying to correct the immune system and that's the symptom he's showing. From what I've seen and been told is that the body tends to heal from the inside out and the top down. You're still in the early stages of NAET, but have you noticed any positive changes since starting NAET?

    1. I have not noticed any changes. And I have not gone ahead and fed him Eggs or milk products. So, I can't say if the treatment really worked. We got his RAST tests done. Egg shot up really high, even after passing the NAET treatment. We got the tests done 2 months after NAET treatment, as it was one year since his last allergy tests. So, I am not going to feed him eggs. His eczema improved as soon as we took out all his allergens from my diet. I was breastfeeding him and he had very bad eczema. When I took out all that from my diet his eczema improved. Now he has eczema on his legs, which responds well to Aquaphor. But, when I was eating all his allergens he had weeping eczema and nothing could control it. Bed Sheets used to get stuck to his face. He was on oral antibiotics also. I had no clue on allergies that time. I was ignorant and my son suffered. Only when he reacted badly to his formula when he was 8 months old, we got to know what food allergies are. The minute I took out milk from diet his skin improved dramatically but still had eczema. Then I figured out one by one and took out his allergens. Things were so obvious like I eat coconut and nurse him, there is this patch on his face. I eat garbanzo and nurse him and there was this patch. Now, I don't eat any of his allergens and his skin looks better. I don't say his skin is normal, but a lot better. But, every time there is a party or gathering, though he doesn't eat anything there, he comes back with rashes on face.
I am glad NAET worked for you 'n your son. I am not sure, if I should continue the treatments or No. My son cries a lot during the treatments.

    2. You're at the tip of the iceberg still, and I think you are correct to proceed with caution. There could be combination treatments that need to be done before your child is able to eat foods without issue. We were fortunate and saw my son's chronic hives clear up after the egg treatment, so that gave up a glimpse that NAET was doing something. I was so skeptical of the whole experience. Now we're 132 or so treatments into this and we've gotten great results, but it's been a lot of persistence and patience. Some people are lucky and need a minimum amount of treatments; I never dreamed it would take so many.

My son's egg RAST results also increased(to my surprise.) We then did multiple combinations: egg white & egg yolk, then white/yolk with various emotions-frustration, anger, sadness. He hasn't had a RAST done since, but is now able to eat egg without issue. He use to vomit and breakout in hives.

You might want to treating for some of the obvious and less complex substances the coconut or garbanzo beans, then you'd know. Eggs, dairy, and wheat can be very complex (along with yeast) and can require further investigation.

    3. Thank you very much for you response. Does your son eat baked eggs or boiled eggs too? I do no mind going for 100+ treatments (we are not rich) if that can really help my son. I just want to see something positive ... just like you saw hives vanishing.
We can get him treated for garbanzo or coconut and see.
      Thanks for your suggestion.

    4. My son is now able to eat baked eggs, eggs cooked in soup, and has successfully trialed eggs (hardboiled both the white and yolk.) However, he does not like them so I can't get him to eat large quantities of regular eggs (even scrambled.) But if you've read our egg experiences, he went from breaking out in hives while eating lemon egg rice soup to having no problems.

Believe me, we're not rich either but we made his health a priority and are doing what we can. There have been times I've been very frustrated with NAET (like with egg treatments) and wanted to give up. My Pediatrician would say, "What else are you going to do? What are your other options?" He had no monetary interest in NAET for my kid and I knew he worked with other kids that had responded well. So we persevered and it's paid off. I do wish you the same success.

    5. Yes, my son's health is my priority and I am ready to do ANYTHING for that. We drive 2.5 hours each way to get to NAET clinic. My son cries a lot during the treatment. Sometimes, i get to think if I am doing the right thing of letting him cry and take him to the treatment. I am not sure how the treatments are going to work if he is crying.

I really like your blog and it is very nice to read the positive stories.

  3. Wow, 2.5 hours each way--that is dedication. Have you checked out the blog to the right titled 'NAET Experiment'? She home treats her kid, which I also do on substances that I can easily get my hands on (like daily foods, etc.) Of course I don't treat nuts which he's been ANA to, and I can't figure out combinations on my own. But I do treat for more simple items, and I do so while my son is sleeping. You might want to discuss with your practitioner.

    1. Do you home treat through surrogate or treat him on his back directly ? I tried it for some simple foods that he rashes out, it did not work on him. When I go next I should talk to my practitioner. Its been 2 months since I took him to NAET, as he had been sick from last 2 months. Cold on top of cold and wheezing. Sometime back we took him when he has slight cold and the practitioner said, his body is not giving permission as he has cold. It is disappointing to drive that long and come back with no treatment. So we'll go back when he recovers.
I am so glad that your little boy is able to enjoy the little treats. I am very happy for you 'n him.

  4. I treat my son directly with the accupressure point buzzer thing we bought. I can imagine your frustration of getting there and not being able to treat. That has only happened to us once when we were treating for vaccines. His body needed a break from vaccines, but ended up allowing us to treat for something else that day. For colds, our practitioner has him spit on a jar and then treat for the saliva with the virus in it. I do this at home each time someone is starting to come down with a cold, it really seems to work.

    1. Thanks so much for the information. Yes, I read that on your blog that he was treated for fluoride. Your blog is very informative and you explain things so well.

    2. Did you buy the buzzer from NAET main office ? Is that same as what they use in the clinic ? Does it not interrupt the sleep ?

  5. I bought the buzzer from the doctor's office, here's a link:
http://www.lhasaoms.com/Tsubo_Massager-68-77-page.html (I'm not endorsing this site,I've never used them, just providing a picture of the tool.)

It's not exactly the same as what our current doc is using, but very similar. My kid doesn't budge when I treat him in his sleep. I have a small glass jar (like the size of a one serving jelly jar) that I put the food substance in, put the lid on, and tuck it in the waistband of his underwear to hold the jar in place while touching his skin. I buzz his back up and down a few times, then buzz his pressure points as I was taught by the NAET doc. It's easy while he sleeps since there isn't any work at the avoidance, plus kids rarely need the 25 hour avoidance as they tend to pass treatments faster. Once again, please talk to your NAET doc about this. I'm only describing my experience.
