Saccharomyces Boulardii

I'm continuing to learn new things on this journey.  Yesterday a physician introduced me to  to Saccharomyces Boulardii.  He recommended rotating my son's probiotic every few months to introduce different strains.  It was one of those, "Why didn't I think of that?" moments.  He also said we should find one with Saccharomyces Boulardii, as he's seen it help people with constipation and other digestive track disorders, or just take it on it's own.  Saccharomyces boulardii is a yeast that's considered one of the "good guys." 1. Hi there -- how is it going with your son? We just started NAET and have only had three treatments. Would love an update!

How's the peanut allergy going? and if you don't mind me asking, how many treatments has your son had in total? Was he ever allergic to wheat/gluten?

    Thanks!

    1. My son is doing great. We've really cut back on the NAET treatments lately, although I would like to proceed with the peanut treatments. Over the last 5 1/2 years he's probably done close to 200 treatments. I never imagined we'd do so many, but we did see undeniable improvements as I've detailed in the blog. His system was so hypersensitive that he just needed more. Yes, he did have a wheat issue and he can tolerate now, but still does better if he avoids it. Now that he's older it's harder to control his diet. He's actually doing so much better that he went away to summer overnight camp this week and the only dietary restriction is peanuts. Hope your son has good results.

  2. If you find one with the strain Saccharomyces Boulardii and no other allergens, can you please post it here.

    1. We've been using 'Garden of Life--Primal Defense Ultra' probiotics. It does say it's cultured in dairy that's "generally removed in the fermentation process." So that's probably not what you're looking for. I did a quick search and see that Klaire Labs offers a standalone Saccharomyces Boulardii that is lactose-free, gluten-free.

  3. I have really just barely begun my topical steroid withdrawal process, (about 3 weeks in now... would have been longer, but went to the ER and was given prednesone IV 3 weeks ago) anyway, you should look up info about biofilms and xylitol! I'm using xylitol (about a 1/2 teaspoon) mixed with either a little water (like a teaspoon)of liquid silver solution (Silver Sol) (heat and mix) and some coconut oil and a few drops of sandalwood essential oil, and putting on my skin. It stings for a few minutes, but then feels better, and my rash has lightened up quite considerably! Hope this helps someone else!!! :-)
